Planning
The goal of climate resilience and adaptation planning is to prioritize local risks and vulnerabilities and identify effective and appropriate actions for building resilience. We work with municipalities, government agencies, community groups and other stakeholders to help them prepare for a changing climate. We can help your community or organization:
Understand how changes in climate will lead to impacts to your assets, services, quality of life, economy and/or natural environment;
Conduct a climate change risk and vulnerability assessment to prioritize risks;
Develop an action plan to enhance your resilience.

EDMONTON Climate Adaptation Collaborative
Don’t adapt to a changing climate in isolation—collaborate! Explore this project to understand how a group of eight municipalities in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region worked with us for two years to elevate their climate preparedness, exploring common vulnerabilities and taking a coordinated approach to cost-effectively strengthen their resilience.
Climate Resilience Express
We developed a workshop-based process to quickly build community support for climate adaptation plans. Since 2015, All One Sky has supported 14 Alberta municipalities to identify and prioritize climate change risks and develop local action plans. A workshop-based approach results in a locally-driven climate adaptation plan, increasing the adaptive capacity of rural Alberta communities to the impacts of climate change.
Edmonton Climate Resilience and Adaptation PLAN
We’ve been working with City of Edmonton since 2016 to support development of the Climate Resilience Edmonton Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan.
Leduc Weather and Climate Readiness Plan
We helped the City of Leduc develop robust strategies to cope with current and future climate-related impacts.
Canmore climate change adaptation plan
We developed a climate change adaptation and resilience plan for the Town of Canmore.
Climate Resilient Home
We created a virtual climate resilient home at climateresilienthome.ca. The virtual climate resilient home demonstrates design features which address key climate change impacts facing the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
Climate Ready Home guide for Calgarians
We want to help Calgarians understand and make improvements to enhance the resilience of their home and property to the hazards that are becoming worse because of climate change. This Guide informs choices you can make during a renovation or construction project, or to your home maintenance regime to make your home more resilient to current and future climate hazards.
